Below is a Q&A with Team STX Captain Josie Owens.

Where did you play College Lacrosse?
I played at the University of Virginia and graduated in 2012.

What you are doing post collegiately?
I am excited to be the first member of TeamSTX! (@Team_STX on Twitter & Instagram) I am working with STX women’s lacrosse (@STXwlax on Twitter & Instagram) now to develop the roster, schedule and uniforms.

I am also working for my masters at the University of Denver. While I am in school I am a volunteer coach for the Denver Pioneers, and am coaching for the club program, Denver Summit Lacrosse.

What position do you play?
Attack

What head / handle combination are you currently playing with?
STX Crux head on the STX Lure handle

What’s your favorite thing about the Crux?
The whip that the stick creates. When the ball comes out it seems to increase speed, making my shots hard, fast and accurate.

Who would you recommend the Crux to?
Attackers. With a narrow face, low sidewalls, and again the whip the stick creates, the Crux is perfect for Attackers.
